1. Pool maintenance for Green water

If your swimming pool water is suddenly a lovely shade of green, you have grown algae in your pool. Because you may have skipped testing the water.  And your pool’s chlorine level has dropped below what is needed to stop algae growing in your pool.

But this is an easily fixed problem. You will need to:

• Test your pool water to confirm the cause.
• Your pool will need to be shocked to kill the algae,
• you will have to brush the walls and all surfaces of the pool to remove the dead algae and vacuum it all to return your pool to normal.
• The pool will not be usable until you finish the process.  

2. Cloudy water

Instead of crystal-clear sparkling water, it looks like there is a cloud of fog in your swimming pool. The usual cause is bacteria build-up. The likely cause is skipped testing that would have told you that the pool is low on chlorine, which kills the bacteria. Test your swimming pool water and add treatment.

3. Dirty filter

A clean filter will be more efficient and will use less energy, and keeping the filter clean can extend its life. Your pool filter needs checking on a regular schedule. The filter can become ineffective if it is dirty.

The filter will need cleaning more frequently if there are tree leaves and flowers falling into the pool. If there is a lot of wind, it can blow more dust and dirt into the pool. All these factors can affect the efficiency of your pool filter.
